The Balcony

So here's my vintage inspired Sinful Sunday from the balcony...

Glace Cherry

Polka Dot Bikini

So a couple of note for these - the first is a cocktail on holiday with a real live glace cherry - couldn't resist! I was pleased with the lighting and only popped a frame to up the atmosphere.

The second - I always always wanted a black and white polka dot bikini with a frill - and I finally got it! To enhance the vintage flavour I put it through a magic sketch filter - imagine my joy and horror that it took half a second to make an image look like a drawing... I can spend forever on my drawings and portraits. Half a second... bloody technology!!!

I was sad to miss Eroticon this weekend - so many awesome things to do and people to meet there! I guess getting to drink retro cocktails is a very good second place. Read Molly's intro here.

Click on those sexy lips to see who else is playing vintage this Sunday... I've been taking a look around - there are some corkers - I'm having trouble commenting on them but - wowza - go take a look!

  1. These are both gorgeous. I love the angle of the sun, the flowers, your lips on the succulent cherry of the first image.

Your pose and and the polka dots are lovely in the second image but believe me, no drawing software could compare to the passion and emotion your own drawings capture.

  2. I love the first one a lot! Your comment about the sketch software made me smile - I was looking at some software recently that had 'dodging' and 'burning in' as functions and it made me groan thinking about how long we spent in the darkroom and how much paper was wasted trying to perfect these techniques! Xx

    1. Yes, but didn't you just love the dark room? Squeezing up against other folks, shuffling past in the dark... oooo I miss it! :D x x x

    1. Thank you - I had taken quite a lot of shots and would have chosen one a little less suggestive, but some advice was taken... :D x x

  6. I missed you this weekend but it looks like you had something equally fun to do and cocktails are always a good thing. I want the polka dot bikini too, where did you get it? And the top image had a wonderful 70's feel to it

    1. Hey Molly - thank you - so glad you had fun - though I'm quite sure you always do!
I found the bikini in John Lewis of all places - I never ever go shopping and it was a bit of an overwhelming giant maze of a place. Couldn't believe I found something. I kind of did a grab and run to the checkout :D :D x x x

  7. Wonderful! I can't believe the second one's a drawing, I did totally think it was. Hmm! I do remember a photographer friend saying the same thing about the iphone - she'd spent years learning to get the same effect on her camera that the iphone gives in moments.

Technology is a pain sometimes - even if it is a very good and efficient pain! x x

  9. Both shots are incredibly sexy and sensual, and I love the sight of your lips enjoying your cherry. But your pose in the second shot is tremendously exciting and alluring. Beautiful!
